Stucco walls do not require painting. They sparkle and look anew when cleaned with a pressure cleaner. Stucco is normally used for coating the exterior walls. Mold tends to breed on the stucco walls. This has to be removed and dirt cleaned with a garden hose pipe. Cracks on the walls have to be filled with putty and allowed to dry for a week before the pressure cleaner is used. Since water is directed at very high velocity at the wall doors and windows should be properly locked and care taken that the water stream is not directed at glass portions. Make sure that the lower portions of the wall do not have mud as it might spill over and dirty the wall if water falls on it. Plants that are in the vicinity should be protected and their stems may be tied with a bungee cord or rope to prevent them from breaking. Ensure that the paint on the wall does not have lead. Detergent should be mixed and stored in the reservoir of the cleaner. The pressure of the machine should be adjusted depending on whether the stucco wall will be painted or not after cleaning. If there will be no painting then the pressure may be adjusted at a higher level i.e.2500 PSI. Pressure cleaner should be directed at the wall and the cleaning done initially with low pressure from the bottom to the top. It is a convenient and economical way to clean stucco walls.
